Toffee

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Spread pecans in 9x9 cake pan.

  2. Heat butter and sugar to boiling, stirring constantly, boil for 7 minutes.

  3. Immediately pour mixture over pecans in pan.

  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot mixture.

  5. Cover with cookie sheet so the heat will be contained and melt the chocolate.

  6. Once chocolate is melted, spread with spatula.

  7. Chill until firm.
