2-Ingredient Donuts

  • 3 Cups Self-Rising Flour
    • If you do not have, can be made using:
      • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
      • 1/4 tsp salt
      • Per 1 cup of flour
  • 1 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
    • If you do not have, can be made using:
      • 1 TBSP Vinegar
      • Per 1 cup of milk
      • Let sit for 5-10 minutes

Instructions

1. In mixing bowl, combine the flour and buttermilk. Mix and knead lightly to form a soft dough.

2. Turn out dough onto a well-floured board.  Roll dough to about 1/2" thickness and cut using a donut cutter.

3. In a deep-fryer, heat up oil to 375 degrees.

4. Carefully place the donuts into the oil and fry on each side for about 1 minute until golden brown.

5. Transfer the cooked donuts onto a plate lined with paper towels. If you are coating the donuts in cinnamon sugar, then this is best done while the donuts are still warm.

Maple Glaze

  • 2 Cups Confectioners' Sugar
  • 3 TBSP Milk
  • 2 TBSP Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 tsp Maple Flavoring
1. In small bowl, mix all ingredients until smooth.
